Kry, load up Mass Effect, go to any particular area, and then consider, does it look like WoW in space? Probably, but it's deep, and has a decent story. Also, consider Yahtzee's point of view: The fourth pillar better be amazing. Don't form pre-conceived views (note that Bioware isn't doing too much to generate hype), and consider what they've done once they've finished the game.

I think it's a pretty good comparison. What else has Bioware been doing for the last who knows how long? You can see KotOR as the beginning of this, Mass Effect should easily have effects on it (they went in different directions for stories, found the ability to give more surprises then in KotOR). ME 2 has some combat changes, although it's a bit bland for me.
I think it's a bit silly not to look at what Bioware has learned here, because they wont cut it with just copypastaing a KotOResque story. They're going to use what they learned from Mass Effect. As to combat, we've seen snippets of UIless combat, with only broad understandings of the classes. Oh, and tell me which class is the 'healer'.
