Hello! My mage is Czara on Cho'gall horde side. I am fairly new to playing a mage as I just created her a few months ago. I had several 70s on a pve server but when I switched to a pvp server I decided to try out the mage. I must say I have been quite pleased with my choice!
I am also fairly new to the theorycrafting thing. It started with my warlock when a friend and I would spend way too much time discussing various specs and playstyles. Now I am continuing that trend as I level my mage and try to prepare her for raiding.
So far I have found this forum quite informative and helpful as I try to play catch up to a guild in T6 content.
And /wave at Alia, a fellow Baltimore person it seems =)

Hi I'm Aikamuffin from Whisperwind PVE server. I'm an alliance gnome mage (gnomes rule!) and have been playing since beta. I played EQ for years, but WoW is much more fun. I levelled up arcane spec, but I've been deep fire for ages. I keep toying with the idea of spec'ing arcane or ice, but everytime I do I hate it and just spec back to fire. I think its the instant gratification that fire brings! And I don't any alts higher than level 30 because I've always loved my mage the most.  So far I love reading these forums. The posts are really helpful. I'm in a guild that is currently in BT and moving on to Sunwell soon. I'm not a huge numbers person, so having the practical application of macros and gear discussions here is pretty handy.

Hello! My mage is Melianna from Cho'gall server. I've been playing WoW since open beta, but actually started as a priest. I made my mage about a year after release, and have played her ever since. My guild is currently farming Illidan before we (hopefully soon) start working on Sunwell and Kalecgos. Stumbled across these forums, and found a lot of nice info so thought I would register so I could join in on the fun.

hello! i've been lurking and reading for some months now and have gotten some great info from you folks. The mage has long been my favorite, ever since rolling an alt up one day after getting frustrated with the pally  Needless to say, I've not looked back and here I am. I play on the Doomhammer server as a gnome (gnome powa!!) and my guild is clearing Kara weekly and prepping for 25-mans. -Bloodpoolz

here goes nothing.
I have been playing the mage class since about summer of 2005, and have recently de-activated my account until good news is released for the expansion. I leveled up a gnome mage to 60 on thunderlord , than an undead to 70 on mannoroth and agyros. I participated in pvp battlegrounds, as well as arena matches. PVP has long since been my favorite facet of any game, and this has been my primary focus in WoW as well. My PvE experience is limited to BWL/MC when they were new.
Much of my chagrin for the mage class stems from the role it has taken since the expansion. Between the Line of sight issues, and plethora of lock downs that make me feel useless, my heart grows heavy for this class, and the game in general. I still read and keep up with the news and post occasionally if I have anything worthwhile to say.
That’s my story and I am sticking to it.

Hello,
I started playing WoW about 5-10 weeks before TBC hit, leveled a mage as i loved the thought of freezing people and throwing fire.
I love the mage class, the different specs, stat stacking ( in my case haste, although better gear for me to stack it in would be nice ><) and the general all round pew pew of the class.
I didnt get a chance to really play any of the pre tbc raiding content which im very sad about now, but i look forward to thigns in TBC, as my guild are 6/6 SSC, 4/4 TK, 5/5 MH and 8/9 BT. Were currently working on illidan and he'll drop soon, onwards to SWP!
And id also like to thank all of you for your posts on theorycrafting and number crunching, never posted on here before but ive been a long time reader and they have helped me become a better mage.

Hey! I´m Goja, playing my mage and druid on Dalvengyr(EU)(the realm with 3 pairs of Warglaives in one guild). I startet playing wow back when there was no other druid spec than 9/11/31. Stopped playing my druid at abput lvl 51 and rerolled Goja. I raided with Goja ´til Vaeleztras and startet a while back again in Kara Last week we downed Archi our first time, just the night before the patch where he started to bug out. We also killed Kael just the night before 2.4. So now I am a 0/50/11 raiding Firemage and a restro arena druid. Oh Hi I forgot to say howdi! Howdi ; I'm a post-TBC raider ; I started life as a horde hunter and on hitting 60 (for reason best not gone into) instead of starting raiding as I had been wanting to - my friend persuaded me to transfer realm and level a new alliance character on his PvP server. I have therefore never raided BWL, Naxx etc. I have been every spec under the sun and if anyone would like any tips for any spec please just pm or email me. My guild joke about how often I respecc, but to me I guess its just a necessary feature of WoW. You can't solo Strat easily without being frost AoE grinding spec, I raid now (for a fortnight or more) as arcane 40/0/21, and in the past I've raided as 10/48/3, 2/48/11 and previous as the ABx3,AM,scorch rotation guild (which rocked on Leo in the day)... My mage is bald, and has no eyebrows... Don't ask me how.
